Learn about choosing the right RTK partner

 

Question: I'm interested in using DigiFarm's RTK solution. What do I need?

Answer: Check to make sure that you have a GPS receiver capable of RTK, make sure it has the proper software unlocks for RTK, and purchase a cellular modem to receive RTK corrections. 

 

Question: Does DigiFarm provide my cellular data plan for my cellular modem?

Answer: Yes, DigiFarm can provide you with a cellular data plan or you can choose to manage your own cellular data plan yourself.

 

Question: Is the Greenstar receiver on my tractor compatible with the DigiFarm network?

Answer: Yes, we welcome all colors on our network.

 

Question: Do I need to purchase a RTK subscription for each tractor that I want to use RTK on?

Answer: You will need to purchase a subscription for each vehicle that you want to run simultaneously.

 

Question: When I purchase a subscription, am I restricted to one base station?
Answer: No, you are free to roam throughout our entire coverage area.

 

Question: How much of a data plan do I need to buy for my tablet?

Answer: For streaming RTK corrections 1GB/month is sufficent. It may be a good idea to buy a slightly larger data plan if you plan on checking the markets, sending maps back to the office, etc.

 

Question: Do I need my 450 mhz radio on my GreenStar system?

Answer: No you do not. In fact, you may be able to sell your radio to offset the cost of the equipment when going to DigiFarm. Additionally, when ordering a new SF3000 system you can order it without a radio and save $1850 right from the start.
